Who are Solar Leisure Vehicles?
Based in Hampshire, Solar Leisure Vehicles Ltd are a used motorhome and caravan buying and selling service covering Hampshire and surrounding areas.
We are also the Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex Broker for MotorhomeDepot.
Is my valuation accurate?
When disclosing information about your vehicle, make sure we know everything about it including service history and condition inside and out. We can provide an instant offer based on what information we have been given about your vehicle.
Who inspects the vehicle?
If we are buying your vehicle, we will inspect it thoroughly inside and out.
If you are buying a vehicle, you as the buyer, should inspect the vehicle thoroughly to satisfy yourself as to the condition. Please see "Viewing a vehicle to buy" below.
Storage
Check whether we have space to market your vehicle on your behalf.
We cater for a lot of sellers who live abroad or just no longer have the space to store themselves.
We completely handle their sale and payments on their behalf.
Service fees may be applicable.
What is required of the seller?
All we ask is that the vehicle is in good condition with a good service history and a current MOT. We can even Broker vehicles on a SORN. The vehicle should be clean and tidy both inside and outside ready for photography. Let us know if anything isn't working or if there is damage or damp as this effects the price we would put to market or indeed a buyer offer.
Documents, tax & private plates
When selling, we require visibility to service records, V5 and any other items such as manuals if you have them. Change of ownership is easily carried out online with DVLA for motorhomes and CRIS for caravans. Tax is no longer transferable and is reclaimed for the remaining months during de-registering from a vehicle.
If you are looking to keep a private plate, please inform us prior to a sale as re-registering can take time and is preferably carried out prior to change of ownership.
How do you pay me?
Sellers are paid on the day of the sale. Funds are transferred via us to ensure your settlement is safely received prior to handover.
If you have finance, we will settle the outstanding balance with the finance house directly and any residual will be paid into your account. For financed vehicles, we require a current settlement letter from the finance company.
What is your shipping policy?
No request is the same, so please get in touch to discuss your individual requirement for collection or delivery.
Shipping outside of the UK can be arranged.
Viewing a vehicle to buy
We request all buyers to view before purchasing. Vehicles may still be in use by the owner, so mileage may differ slightly from that advertised. Buyers must make adequate checks and inspections to satisfy themselves they are happy with the style and condition of the vehicle. Additional photos are available on request for all vehicles. You may wish to carry out an assisted inspection with an independent provider which we welcome.
Brokerage is a service to market a vehicle on behalf of the seller...a bit like an Estate Agent, but for motorhomes. Neither Solar or Motorhomedepot own a brokerage vehicle. Please refer to full buyer Terms and Conditions.
